Ministry of Education staff are not permitted to provide status updates to a parent or guardian without the student’s written consent.

  • This is a 9-digit number assigned to you by the Ministry of Education (e.g., 123456789). You can find it on your high school report cards, your high school transcript, or through PEN Services. (Note: the PEN being requested here is different from the student number your post-secondary institution assigns to you.)

  • For the purpose of your inquiry, this personal information will be collected under the authority of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, Section 26(c). Students’ personal information is used for the purpose of verifying eligibility, updating student personal information, and processing scholarship payments. To avoid delays, include the following information with your message: full name; date of birth; name of the high school of graduation; personal education number (PEN); mailing address; and, phone number.
