The British Columbia Honours and Awards Secretariat is pleased to introduce you to our online nomination process.
Instead of submitting your hard copy nominations, we want to encourage you to use our online nomination template. This web tool is easy to use and allows you to securely submit data online.
You can fill out our online nomination template in no time from virtually anywhere - your home, your work or any public computer. Test it out. If it's not for you, you can still send in your nomination forms by mail.
We are currently experiencing technical issues with the online nomination form in Internet Explorer. We recommend using Google Chrome, Firefox or Safari to fill out the form.
There is no time limit on how long you can take to fill out a nomination on-line, however if you navigate away from the page your information will not be retained.
To make the process easier for you, we suggest you prepare your supporting documents, such as testimonial letters and achievement descriptions, in advance.

Any resident of British Columbia, or former long-term resident, who has demonstrated outstanding achievement, excellence or distinction in any field of endeavour benefiting the people of the Province or elsewhere is eligible for appointment to the Order.

The completed signed nomination form, two signed testimonials and any supporting materials must be submitted electronically as one package. If more than one nomination is submitted for the same nominee, only the first nomination received will be considered. Please contact the Honours and Awards Secretariat for alternate submission options if required.

Provide a detailed description of your nominee's achievements.
This includes background information/history, achievements and the results it has had in the community, province or country. Note - this is on what the Advisory Council will base their evaluation. If this field is not complete (i.e. indicates "see attached CV"), your submission will be rejected. Note: By indicating yes, you are verifying that your nomination meets the criteria of the MGC (the nominee is
someone who has served their community with the greatest humility without expectation of reward or recognition).
You do not need to fill out another nomination.
This completed Nomination Form, letters of support and any supporting materials must be received by April 9, 2021 to be considered in the current calendar year. Nominations received after this will be included in the selection process for the next calendar year.
