The Minister of Forests has received a request from a Request for Approval of
an Intended Transfer (RAIT) by Weyerhaeuser Company Limited (Weyerhaeuser) to
1539998 B.C. Ltd. (a Gorman Bros. Lumber Ltd. subsidiary) for the disposal of
multiple forest tenure agreements associated with the Princeton lumber mill.
On May 21, 2025 the Gorman Group entered into a transaction with
Weyerhaeuser to purchase Princeton lumber mill manufacturing facility and all of
Weyerhaeuser's forest tenure agreements in British Columbia. Gorman Brothers
Lumber Ltd. is a privately owned wood products company with its head office in
West Kelowna, B.C.
The proposed transfer of agreements includes three
Replaceable Forest Licences: A18698, A74911, and A18674, Tree Farm Licence 59,
and 14 Road Permits.
